Wikipedia - Nyköpings BIS

Nyköpings BIS is a Swedish football club located in Nyköping. The club started out as a merger in 1966 between Nyköpings SK and Nyköpings AIK. Since their foundation Nyköpings BIS has participated mainly in the middle divisions of the Swedish football league system in particular Divisions 2 and 3.

During the period 1971 until 1980 and again in 1984 Nyköpings BIS played in Division 2 which at that time was the second tier of Swedish football. The club currently plays in the third tier, Division 1. They play their home matches at the Rosvalla IP in Nyköping. Besides football Nyköpings BIS is also a track and field club.

The club is affiliated to the Södermanlands Fotbollförbund.

El Nyköpings Boll- och Idrottsällskap, más conocido como Nyköpings BIS, es un club de fútbol sueco de la ciudad de Nyköping. Fue fundado en 1923 y actualmente juega en la Ettan, la tercera división del sistema de ligas de fútbol de Suecia.

El Nyköpings BIS ha ganado una Copa de Suecia, en 1969, y una Supercopa de Suecia, en 1970. También ha jugado en la Allsvenskan, la primera división del fútbol sueco, en varias ocasiones, aunque su última aparición en la máxima categoría fue en 1984.

El estadio del Nyköpings BIS es el Nyköpings Arenor, con capacidad para 6.500 espectadores. El club tiene una rivalidad histórica con el IFK Norrköping, otro equipo de la ciudad de Nyköping.
